Who is enochs mother

The Bible doesn't give her name. If my sole pillar of truth is incomplete then the next verses is questionable? Is there? Is it also the reason why the Scribes at that time adopt the Talmud or the Mitzvah to fill up the meaning over distorted script?

Tina Member. From Nowhere near you Christian Yes. I don't think you have a right understanding of Sola Scriptura and Sola Fide. Sola Scriptura means everything one needs to know on faith and Christian practice is found in Scripture alone. Sola Fide means salvation by faith alone. They are two different things.

What have these got to do with knowing the name of Enoch's mother or oral tradition? Ed the Ned Member. Does it matter what her name is? Messages 1, Joined Mar 13, Click to expand We don't need to know her name, and so God chose not to give it to us. What's the issue? The Bible is not an exhaustive book of everything there is to know about anything and everything. Now look at the verse I give you, if the Bible is indeed infallible, then where is the consistency? Second, Sola Scriptura or Scripture Alone is our only truth, then if the Bible could stand on its own then where is the answer to the problem I point out?

Is it important to know who is the mother of Enoch? Or answer such kind of queries? Be consistent! Like when a Muslim brother asked this same question to a Evangelical Pastor, do you know what the Pastor said?

Wake up!!!! Now, look at your answer to my question, is it right? Some just throw the question away. If someone asked you the same question, would you NOT answer straight? Menno Member. Messages Joined Dec 15, Now concerning my question; who is the mother of Enoch?

Enoch was the 7th patriarch after Adam. He was the son of Jared and the father of Methuselah. The Bible does not mention the name of his wife and offers few details about his life. Tradition credits Moses as the author of Genesis, as well as the books of Exodus , Leviticus , Numbers and most of Deuteronomy, but modern scholars increasingly see them as a product of the 6th and 5th centuries BC.

Either Cain built a city and named it after Enoch , or else Enoch built a city. According to a Samaritan tradition, Enoch was buried in Mount Ebal. Enos Son Noam Daughter. Enoch was son of Jared and fathered Methuselah.

This Enoch is not to be confused with Cain's son Enoch Genesis The text reads that Enoch "walked with God: and he was no more; for God took him" Gen —24 , which some Christians interpret as Enoch's entering Heaven alive. The Garden of Eden is considered to be mythological by most scholars. Among those that consider it to have been real, there have been various suggestions for its location: at the head of the Persian Gulf, in southern Mesopotamia now Iraq where the Tigris and Euphrates rivers run into the sea; and in Armenia.

The texts might only have been known to few people, or they might have been left out because their content does not fit well into that of the other books of the Bible.
