A good shower, a hot tea and Packed to the Rafters at 9 O'clock on Star World, almost quite summed up my time before bed all these days, until yesterday. Packed to the Rafters has been one of the most amazing television series that I have ever seen. I used to like watching 'Prison Break', but the subsequent seasons, after the second, made the show look terrible. Same with 'Dexter'.

The last season was simply shoddy. But this was not the case with the PTTR. Every season was a joy to watch. Every episode had a story that was so touching! Every moment was a reflection on relationships and family. Packed to the Rafters was so beautiful in its little stories, and the manner in which they depicted it that each of the characters were so real.

Take Dave for instance. A tough dad, looking to grow in his electrical business, managing both home and more importantly, his sparkies. Jules was the everyday mother, running a busy home, a baby Ruby , her blogs and her recent job as a columnist. Among all of the characters in the family, the one person that I most loved watching, and imagining what would come to be, was undoubtedly- Coby Jennings.

But is moving into a small, unappealing rental townhouse their only option? Dave suggests they put their stuff in storage and take Ruby and go travelling instead. Nathan and Ben think it's a great idea, but Julie won't hear of it, unwilling to leave Ted. An impromptu party is organised, with everyone gathered to farewell the house. Even Rachel and Jake make a special appearance. During the party, Ted gives Julie a priceless emotional gift, allowing her to move on. Family and friends gather to farewell the Rafters, presenting them with a moving video tribute organized by Carbo.

It is obvious they will be sadly missed — but everyone is rightfully excited about the possibilities the future holds.
