They are composed by Yomi vo. In fact their sound is basically rock, but implies many and many contaminations, from electronic to dubstep, from ska to reggae, going into a goth-ish rock, jazz and pop. Their debut occurs after one year with some demo-singles, Yaen Banquet , Danzai Retribution , Akahana no tonakai Red-nosed reindeer , Hankouki Rebel age , Jiyuu hondo tenshin ranman Innocent bohemien , Gaia -Zenith side- , Gaia -Nadir side- , their first mini-album Outlaw and their first full-album Gianizm -Omae no mono wa ore no mono-.
The former one is famous especially for being the opening theme of Death Note eps. The latter is the ending theme of the same anime eps. This song is famous for being the opening of the fantasy anime Claymore ; a rock song, with some punk vibes, whose main theme is loving someone as being, or better, having the feeling that you are stronger against adversities.
On 19th March they released their tenth album To Be or Not To Be , anticipated by the singles Dizzy and Rewrite , where there is maybe their most experimental song, which is Drastica.

Their first tour began in July in the Kansai region and in August, their demo tape, Zange, was released.

On August 21st, Nightmare released the single Believe, which made it to number 24 on the Oricon charts. During the tour, the mega-successful single Tokyo Shounen was released and gained them many more fans to add to their already enormous fanbase.
