With the glyphs being learned once, instead of having to be replaced like in WotLK, I would think that most people who raid continuously or have their main would have bought glyphs at the start of the Xpac or whenever they got it meaning a giant demand in 4.
Know your customers before you commit to a strategy. I tried this as an experiment against a similar person on my server posting glyphs for g.
They were more than happy to undercut me every step of the way, all the way down to under 30g which was a significant loss per glyph based on market herb prices. The only way to beat that sort of person is to figure out how to frustrate them enough that they quit playing the market entirely.
I should note that I apparently annoyed this person enough that they started messaging me trying to convince me to quit, which suggests that this person is not a true goblin, but just an opportunistic bastard trying to milk the AH. Even so, that same person switch back to massive walling of the glyph market at 30g since then, so maybe I won after all.
Now realize that I am a scribe. I've seen Glyphs go from anywhere between 10g to g. And the same ones typically go for the same repeated prices, with exceptions.
